A 12 peg knock up at Harescombe Fisheries unfortunately turned into 8 pegger, so maybe a little better as we had more room and everyone had a margin swim to fish to.
With the mild weather, I hoped to draw the shallows, which lucky enough I did.

It was going all out pellet approach and last few hours I'd fish maggots and mirco pellets down the edge.  Groundbait is only allowed through the feeder.

I started at 5 meters on the slope, which resulted in no bites..... a bit disappointed.  So went down the edge with pellets, dripped in 12 4mm pellets with a 6mm expander on.  Which resulted in a instant bite and a lost fish.... pulled out.  So went in again and had 3 carp and it went quiet.  So plugged away at margins and fed 5 and 13 metre lines whilst fishing down the edge.  Steve Partington was catching well, he was also catching down his edge with maggots and Big Frank Donachie was also catching down his edge with maggots.

Nightmare, my line got caught around the pole pot, unbelievably nothing broke or pulled out.

A bit lucky to get this one out.

I went onto the 13 metre line, which i built up and had a run of 5 carp before it went iffy.  

5 metre line was decent in last hour, had 3 carp short, one 10lber.  Ended up with 16 carp for 98lb and a little win.  Frank Donachie also had 16 carp, but were smaller, weighed in 73lb.  All weights are below.

Spottedfin is best expanders ive ever used.

Last two hours turned my negative margin swim into more aggressive.

All weights.  Wanted to be in the shallower water today.
