Today Jas my partner (for fishing) drew me peg 9 Heron (second best peg in Europe) and himself 40 on Kingfisher.
I won the lake/match with 48lb and unfortunately Jason was joint 4th with 10lb, he was a little unlucky as he lost a decent fish at the net. 😓

A bit of a slow start to begin with, maybe took ten minutes to catch my first fish, but after thirty minutes I caught really steady for one hour at 14 metres on pellets. This did fade, and I should of put the 16 metre section a bit earlier than I did.
It was a really enjoyable match, with plenty of bites, I roughly had 70 ish fish.

One carp, one skimmer and a roach. 8lb 5oz for "last", well one person didn't turn up, so I was lucky, second to last.
Well done to Ron opposite me, 48lb for lake win.
Drew peg 3 on OML (Old Match Lake) and weighed 23lb of silvers, which was a lovely days fishing and lucky enough to win the lake/section. This gave me 8 points which was enough to win the league overall. "Happy days".

I drew peg 13 on Ash, not ideal, but take the rough with the smooth. I weighed 37lb of decent size F1's for almost last! I did enjoy it, as I had a little flurry of decent sized F1's, thought this would bring me back in the race, nope. Unfortunately the last hour was very unproductive.
Considering the conditions it did fish well for most, all the weights are below.
Nice day at Ivy House Lakes, round 4 of WL, drew peg 9 on Heron (awesome peg). Got beat by Ken, off the next peg to come second in the section and second on the lake with 44lb.

Was back to Ivy House Lakes today for a pairs match, which Mark Poppleton asked me to be his partner for the day, the match was run by Jon Darby.
There was three sections spread across the lakes (Old Match Lake and Willow) and three sections spread across the canals (Moorhen and Kindfisher). I drew Mark peg 10 on the OML and myself peg 31, which is on Moorhen. Moorhen is lake that I haven't fished for while, but I knew I was up against as I was in the middle of the lake, the narrowest part of the lake and had two end pegs to compete against (not making excuses).
My attack was all about pellets and looking to catch stockies and a few skimmers, if I'm really lucky maybe catch some decent carp.
Mark did really well, won his lake and second overall (he won yesterday's open match too) with 150lb!! I came second in my section with 91lb, had a fantastic day, loads of bites caught over 100 fish. We had three points and came second overall with 18 pairs.

I had 8 carp for 28lb and 68lb of Barbel. First two hours I got severe neck ache.... couldn't catch to save my life.
