Alvechurch Fisheries. Winter League. Round 5

Alvechurch Winter League.  Round 5.

I draw sock on, Peg 3 Arrow, as the fish seem to be shoaled up more in the early pegs.  So last peg in the bag as a good one (note to self, maybe I shouldn't draw??!!).

Started on pellets at 14.5 metres and caught a small carp (10oz) and a skimmer.  But either side were catching Ide, skimmers and odd BIG roach.  So decided to feed maggots and caught Ide quite well.  However felt I wasn't doing enough so "pinged" pellets to far back and fished 17.5 metres and didn't look back.  Had a brilliant day catching "stocky" carp.  Weighed 68lb to win the section/lake.

Had a great laugh with Steve.

Manor Farm Leisure- Round 2 of Silvers League

Silvers Only League

Round 2

Peg 5 Ash.... unbelievably I drew Ash again and even more unbelievably it was solid with F1's.  Must of had 20 F1's and a small carp, lost as many.  Unreal, I put back way over 50lb of fish.  Spent most of my day playing fish that didn't count!!  My peg was worth 130lb of fish today.

Weighed 2lb and really did come last!!  My league is over, got 26 points after two rounds!!!  Got three rounds left and would like to be in Boundary in the high or low numbers to have a days fishing.

Ivy House Lakes - Round 4 of the Winter League

Well, from Hero to ZERO!!

Derek Newson gave me a lesson today.  Lost £2.

Drew peg 33 on Moorhen and got battered!! Ken and Mike gave me a WHOPPING either side.  All weights below.

I caught 70 ish roach, 4 small skimmers, 1 F1, 1 tiny carp and one carp about 2lb.  Unfortunately no munters. 🐳 I weighed 10lb 8oz to only beat 3 in section ("last").  I'm NOT moaning, but me, Mike and Ken both had one carp each.... Ken's was 11lb, Mike's between 5lb to 7lb and mine waa 2lb.  If I'd been a bit lucky with size of carp, then it would if been a different story with points.  But gosh I am really due a flyer in this league!!!

Alvechurch Fisheries. Round Four of Winter League

Round 4 of Winter League at Alvechurch.

Drew peg 24 on Horseshoe.

Bung Hole Billy Peg... weighed 120lb to win the match.  Caught on pellet feeder to the island,  nothing fancy.  Fished 0.20 to a 14 Guru QM1.  Not sure what Mark's feeds his carp, but they fight really hard.  So not point messing around on light lines. I caught in flurries, strange I would catch 3 to 4 carp in a row and then nothing, even trying to be clever, casting further to my right to chase them failed.  So it was best to sit and wait, didn't wanna risk feeding bait all over the peg and potentially mess the peg up.

I had a brilliant days fishing and weighed 120lb of all carp on the feeder.

League wise, I have two lasts and two wins!!  I have 12 points and currently 4th, but four rounds left who knows what could happen....

Ivy House Lakes - Heron

Ivy House Lakes
Heron
4th overall
23 fished

Back to Ivy House Lakes today and todays fishing match was on Heron Lake.  I draw peg 8, good area, caught 17 fish for 17lb.  All on pole (pellets and maggots).  Never had a bite or liner on the feeder.  Really tight match, not sure on how else I could of caught more to be honest.

Got killed by "Kill Bill" off the next peg.  Bill (Kill Bill) caught on the waggler with maggots.

Looking forward to round 4 of Ivy House Winter League.  I am on Moorhen this coming Sunday, praying for end peg at the car park, peg 36.

Manor Farm Leisure - Round 1 of Silver League

Manor Silver League
Round 1
Peg 15 Ash.
16 fished

Really struggled, caught blade skimmers about 30 and 5 better ones (4oz to 12oz).  Caught most of my weight in the last hour.  Never known it to be so tough.   Came second on my lake, but only beat 2 in Boundary.  So awful start, 10 penalty points.

All weights below.
