The first round if the spring league on the Gloucester Canal, nice to see 140 anglers fishing, not many matches with that amount of anglers fishing.
I had a bit of a nightmare first fish I hooked was a Bream on the pole which I lost, which would of gave a least five more points, but I lost it, so end of. Also I caught a Zander, which don't count in matches, which I thought/ hoping was going to be a massive Eel..... as I did feel like one when playing it, much to Steve Townsend amusement. 🤣
Well done to our captain, came second overall with 18lb 11oz.
