This is a guide to how I would fish Mawgan Porth match lake, how it helps. My last three visits to this venue has seen me win the match, third overall and a section in the section. So decent results, I always fish it at the beginning of September and our matches that I have fished has had 19 anglers plus. I'm not expert, but I hope my guide will help you?
Mawgan Porth is a beautiful venue in the heart of Cornwall. Its owed and run by Trevor who is really helpful and friendly guy. The fish are stunning, fin prefect and fight really hard as they are so healthy.
For me I'd fish a negative match, big pots of bait are a no no.... unless you fishing down the edge, bit most of the time I'd try and starve them on the hook.
