Peg 38 Boundary Pool
40lb
Joint 4th

My favourite peg on Boundary Pool, and disappointed with 40lb

My match

I was pleased with drawing out peg 38 Boundary Pool, as its a great peg and also an end peg.  as we all know end pegs are normally a great advantage!!   Unfortunately the wind was horrendous again, and unlike a lot of anglers I still got my Colmic Airon F44 pole out and I noticed that Gary Watts also has the Colmic Airon F44 pole, so we could use our poles in the high winds........ enough said.

I was gutted that I didn't catch a single fish on the rod, which was almost unbelievable!!  But the pole line was soild, but the tow and 50 mph winds were tough and I did foul hook a few fish and lost them!!  I chuck a lead, pellet feeder and bread over the top and never had a bite!!! Which wasted time and I was unproductive for a couple of hours and therefore my match slipped away and got battered by Steve Partington!!!
Really windy

Weights are consistent, Manor Farm Lesiure is one of the fairest venues I know

Colmic Karper Keepnets are fantastic keepnets, that are built to last and not brake or tear.  Also they retail at £34.99 and NOT £60!!!

Manor Farm Lesiure

Peg 26 Windmill
49lb
Won section
2nd overall

The wind has been awful for the last couple of weeks, presentation has been a major issue on the last few matches including this one!!  Fishing 16 meters to the island, on the shelf in the 3 foot water is what I opted for and 17.5 meters was 2 foot, too shallow I felt.

Also I would fish in open water, at 13 meters, which was 7 foot.

Finally set up my Colmic "Next Adventure 45" bomb rod.

Colmic top kits are super stiff, therefore elastic works properly and not stick to the side walls!!

8lb Mirror in the tail!!!  Wasn't happy and therefore didn't risk taken any photos!!

Alders Farm Fishery - Round Five

Peg 5 Pines
115lb
Won section
1st place overall

The match

The lads opted for me to go on peg 5 on Pines Lake, which is one of the best pegs on the lake.  Unfortunately Liam was on Peg 1 Pines, which was a VERY poor draw, as your cut off by the pegs on dam wall.  So I suggest to Liam, to fish a tidy pellet match in open water and maggots and micros down the edge, long!!!

The wind was horrendous, I tried to fish it 13 meters of my Colmic Airon F44 and did manage to catch 7 carp, but presentation was nightmare and the guy to my left was sacking on a pellet feeder and my bomb and corn or boilie wasn't right.  So changed to a pellet feeder and 20 yards after a hour do thirty minutes and it transformed my peg, my Next Adventure 45 rod was getting ripped in!!!  I had a steady flow of fish and was pleased to win the section, as I felt I wasted my first hour and thirty minutes!!!

My hat blew off three times, in the lake twice!!!

Alders Farm is a beautiful venue.

Liam Dennick a star of the future for sure

Alders Farm - Round 4

Peg 17
18lb
4th in section

Colmic are still overall second in league at the moment.  Colmic have 101 points and GOT Baits have 110.  See all the results below.

Colmic's Mark Malin won the match.  Great result, especially as he has never seem Alders Farm before....

My match was frustrating, caught everything bar one fish in the first hour.   Had 5 carp 14.5 meters on 0.1 float, with 0.152 and 0.125 stream and Colmic WN501 18. Then one more at 16 meters at 1.10pm.

The lead line failed to produce, popped up expander, pellet, corn and Boilie failed to get a bite.  No liners, nothing on my Colmic Next Adventure 45 rod... gutted, let the team down

Manor Farm's F1 carp are stunning
I for once choose the right day to come fishing, as yesterday was horrendous weather, today was just wet!!   We have day a lot of cold rain the last few days, so was concerned that it would fish hard and it saw did!  The first three hours saw me with 4lb to 5lb, thought I was going to get some MEGA stick on Facebook for drawing a flyer and not catching!!!  However, lucky enough fish switched on in the last 2 hours, especially the last thirty minutes as everybody was catching.

I fished 4mm pellet to a Jon Walker pellet float, 0.135 F1 Spider Line (main line), 0.10 Colmic Stream (hooklength), 18 Colmic 501 hook with 1.5mm Colmic Hollow.

I had maybe 4lb tops at 1.30pm and lucky enough a few fish switched on.  Last 30 minutes saw me catch 7 decent F1's.

Peg 19 Wood

A lovely looking lake, and hopefully one day I'll catch some fish from it??

I had a good solid start, first 40 minutes I had 3 carp and 1 f1, with some tiny F1's.  Dripping in micro's and 4mm expander on the hook.  But the peg was fading away, started a new line at 18 meters of my Colmic Airon F44 pole.   Then started to big pot maggots, nothing crazy but this seemed to kill the peg, hooked 4 carp in last hour and lost all 4, fouled hooked.   I should of been blind folded and more patient.....  The peg was worth 50lb

Had a lesson either side! Rob Gruppy caught well on maggots and gave me a whopping and Paul next door caught mainly F1's on pellets in open water.
